New project: Cost-benefit analysis for the major project JadeWeserPort in Wilhelmshaven

A new deep sea terminal is planned at Wilhelmshaven. The investment volume is up to 900 Mio. €. This project at the German north coast may exert overregional effects.

Gerhard Untiedt is appointed to join the Scientific Board of the Austrian Institute for Economic Research (WIFO). The board comprises 15 members, which are engaged at universities or international organisations. The board aims at an intensified transfer of research results and methods.

Institutions and Policies for the New Europe

Gerhard Untiedt presented the macroeconomic HERMIN-Modell for the evaluation of the impact of the European Structural Funds at the international conference "Institutions and Policies for the New Europe" in Portoroz-Koper, Slovenai, (17-19th June 2004) organised by the IMAD - Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development. He referred on the joint paper of John Bradley (ESRI), Edgar Morgenroth (ESRI) and Gerhard Untiedt “Macro-regional evaluation of the Structural Funds using the HERMIN modelling framework”.
